Growing up most little girls dream of getting married and having children. They have their life planned out and of course it is nothing short of a fairy tale. However, in blended family life nothing resembles a fairy tale unless people are referring to the stepmom as “wicked.”
We’ve all heard the saying, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.”
Throughout my life I have said that exact phrase many, many, many times. Never did I think I would be saying it in the situation I was placed in a few months ago.
Date your spouse?
Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Well guess what? You NEED to make time for “that.” Your marriage could depend on it!
Being a stepmom is hard. No ands, ifs, or buts about it. What’s even harder is being a stepmom before having children of your own.
A year has come and gone and I don’t feel like I am much farther from where I began. I know, I know, I know I am miles away from where I was with my first post. But I want MORE! I want more readers, more Facebook followers, more Twitter followers, more followers on Instagram, more shares, more, more, more.
I’m so happy to announce my one year blogiversary!!

I LOVE jewelry! That’s no secret. If it is anything pearl related then I’m like shut up and take my money haha. I also love marketing and anything that is public relations related. My love for jewelry and marketing is a great combination and is necessary to be a brand rep for a particular shop or company. Luckily for me Chelsea from Mama Bear Impressions chose me to be a brand rep for her shop. I am very excited about this venture (like squealed out loud excited 😉 )
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.” (Psalm 127:3-5)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” Washington Irving
Well yet again I have let it go too long without posting. Life is just always so hectic anymore!
“If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn’t ask me, I’d still have to say it.” George Burns
